History of the Temple

Shri Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the most famous and revered temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha in India. The temple was originally built on 19th November 1801 by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil, a childless couple, with faith that Lord Ganesha would bless devotees with children and fulfill wishes. The main idol of Lord Ganesha is unique as it is carved out of a single black stone with the trunk turned to the right, which is considered highly auspicious. Over the years, the temple gained immense popularity, especially after the late 20th century, and today it is visited by millions of devotees, including prominent leaders, celebrities, and devotees from across the world.
