History of the Temple

Constructed in the 15th century during the reign of Rana Kumbha of Mewar, the temple was commissioned by Dharna Shah, a Jain businessman who envisioned a grand spiritual monument after a divine inspiration.

The temple is renowned worldwide for its stunning architecture, featuring 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars—each uniquely designed. The temple complex showcases exquisite craftsmanship, detailed domes, turrets, and shikharas. The four-faced structure symbolizes the Tirthankara’s omnipresence and spiritual vision.
