History of the Temple

Prayag Shaktipeeth, also called Lalita Devi Temple, is located near Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. It is one of the sacred Shaktipeeths where part of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen. The temple worships Maa Lalita, Saraswati, and Mahakali. Devotees visit especially after bathing at Sangam. The temple also houses a mercury Shivling and several deities including Hanuman, Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Navagrahas.

    • Maha Pooja of Goddess Lalita Devi: Principal worship of the presiding deity.
    • Navratri Special Pooja: Conducted during Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri.
    • Shatchandi Yajna: Powerful Devi-centric ritual performed on special occasions.
    • Chhari Mubarak Puja: Ritual associated with the holy mace of Lord Shiva.
