About the History of the Temple
The Nanganallur Anjaneyar Temple, located in the southern part of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most revered Hanuman temples in India. The temple is famous for its massive 32-feet tall monolithic Hanuman statue, installed in 1989. Managed by the Sri Maruti Bhakta Samaj, the temple gained popularity due to the divine presence of Lord Hanuman and the belief that prayers offered here remove obstacles and bring strength and courage.
The temple is built in a traditional South Indian architectural style and attracts thousands of devotees, especially on Saturdays. Over the years, it has become a spiritual landmark for Hanuman devotees visiting Chennai.
