  • Bordoloi Airport (Guwahati). Flight duration is approximately 4 hours. From the airport, taxis and cabs are easily available to reach the temple.
  • By Train: Several trains run from Delhi to Kamakhya or Guwahati. Travel time ranges between 26 to 34 hours depending on the train. DBRT Rajdhani Express (12424) is among the fastest options.

  • By Air: Multiple flights operate from Ahmedabad to Guwahati. From the airport, local transport like taxis and cabs are available for the temple.

History of the Temple

Kamakhya Temple, situated on Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, Assam, is one of the oldest Shakti Peethas in India. It is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and is a major center of Tantric worship.
