  • By Road: Ahmedabad → Nashik → Temple.
  • No direct routes to temple; last stretch is via Nashik + local transport.

History of the Temple

Saptashrungi Temple is located near Vani/Nanduri village in Nashik district, Maharashtra.

The name “Saptashrungi” comes from the seven surrounding mountain peaks.

It is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

The goddess Saptashrungi Nivasini is the main deity

The temple lies about 1230 meters above sea level.

The steps to the temple (over 500) are said to date back to 1710 AD.

A modern ropeway/funicular now aids devotees in reaching the temple easily.
