History of the Temple
Hinglaj Mata Temple, located in Balochistan, Pakistan, is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. It is believed that the head or “Bhramari Devi” part of Sati fell here. The temple is situated inside Hingol National Park and is revered by Hindus, especially from Sindh and Balochistan. The Hinglaj Yatra is one of the oldest pilgrimages in the region, historically taken on foot through desert and mountains. The temple is inside a natural cave, and the deity is worshipped as a stone form.
