History of the Temple
Sugandha Shaktipeeth is believed to be the site where the nose of Sati fell. The presiding goddess is Sunanda and Shiva is worshipped as Traimbak. The temple has humble origins, built and rebuilt by villagers over centuries, and is located near the river in Shikarpur, Barisal.
