History of the Temple

The Adi Brahma Temple located in Khokhan village, Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, is one of the rare temples dedicated to Lord Brahma.
The temple exhibits traditional Himalayan wooden pagoda-style architecture and is believed to have origins dating back to the 10th–11th century.
The current structure, attributed to the era of Raja Ban Sen (1301–1346 AD), was reconstructed using intricate woodwork and stone.
The sanctum houses a black stone lingam believed to be part of the original ancient structure.
