He renovated and expanded the temple using government funds, for which he was later imprisoned. According to tradition, Lord Rama himself appeared in the dream of the Golconda Sultan and repaid the spent amount in gold coins, leading to Ramadasu’s release. This story strengthened the temple’s sanctity and fame.
