Bhagwan Buddha – Vishnu Avatar (Dashavatara)
In Hindu tradition, Bhagwan Buddha is regarded as the ninth avatar of Lord Vishnu in the Dashavatara (Ten Incarnations of Vishnu).
The Dashavatara are believed to appear in different ages (Yugas) to restore Dharma (righteousness) and cosmic balance.
According to several Puranas such as the Bhagavata Purana, Vishnu Purana, and Garuda Purana, Lord Vishnu incarnated as Buddha
during the Kali Yuga. His purpose was to guide people away from excessive ritualism and violence, particularly the misuse of
Vedic sacrifices involving animal killing.
Birth and Life
Bhagwan Buddha was born as Siddhartha Gautama around the 6th century BCE in Lumbini (present-day Nepal). He was born into a royal
family but renounced worldly life in search of truth. After intense meditation, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree
at Bodh Gaya.
