Gopala – An Avatar Name of Lord Krishna (Vishnu)

Gopala is one of the beloved names and forms of Lord Krishna, who is the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu.
The word “Gopala” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “protector of cows” (Go = cow, Pala = protector).

Birth and Divine Purpose

Lord Krishna was born in Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva during the Dvapara Yuga. His incarnation was for
