The idol was later consecrated at Kankroli near Rajsamand Lake in Rajasthan. The temple originally gained prominence under the royal patronage of the Mewar rulers. Today, it stands as an important pilgrimage site, especially for Vaishnav and Pushtimarg followers, and is known for its serene lakeside setting and traditional seva rituals.
