- By Train: Direct trains are available from New Delhi to Datia Railway Station, which is approx. 15 km from Sonagiri.
- By Road: Distance is approx. 480 km. You can travel via NH44. Buses and taxis are easily available.

History of the Temple
Shri Sonagiri Jain Temple, located in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh, is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for the Digambar Jain community. The hill complex consists of more than 100 Jain temples spread across the landscape. Sonagiri, meaning ‘Golden Peak’, is believed to be the place where several Jain saints attained Moksha (liberation).
The main temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Chandraprabhu (the 8th Tirthankara), is a magnificent architectural marvel with white marble structures shining across the hill. The site has been a sacred place for devotees for centuries, with inscriptions and historical records dating back many years. The peaceful environment and spiritual aura of Sonagiri attract thousands of pilgrims every year.
