History of the Temple
The Brahma Temple in Pushkar, Rajasthan, is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator according to Hindu mythology. The temple is believed to have been originally built in the 14th century.
According to legend, Lord Brahma performed a yajna (sacred ritual) at the Pushkar Lake, which gave the town its spiritual significance.
