History of the Temple

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi (Ambabai), consort of Lord Vishnu.

Considered one of the major Shakti Peethas.

Built during the Chalukya period (6th–7th century AD).

Restorations occurred after partial destruction in ancient times.

Architecture follows the Hemadpanti style with stone craftsmanship.

    • Daily Aarti (Primary Pooja): Morning and evening ritual offering light, flowers, incense and prayers.
    • Padyapuja & Mukhmarjan: Ritual cleansing of the deity.
