The Lalita Devi Temple in Prayagraj is considered one of the sacred Shaktipeeths. It is believed that the right-hand fingers of Goddess Sati fell at this location, giving the temple deep mythological significance. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Lalita Devi and also features shrines for Saraswati and Kali in symbolic ‘pindi’ forms. There is also a Shiva shrine called Laliteshwar Mahadev. The architecture is inspired by the divine Sri Yantra. Devotees visiting the Triveni Sangam often complete their pilgrimage by worshipping at this temple.
